fix(telemetry): export numeric attributes as long values - #399
Attributes.prepare() exported every attribute with AttributeKey.stringKey(), so http.response.status_code, http.request.resend_count and fga-client.request.batch_check_size reached OpenTelemetry as strings, which breaks numeric queries such as status_code >= 400.
Export these three attributes (documented as int in docs/OpenTelemetry.md) with AttributeKey.longKey() instead, and omit values that do not parse as integers. All other attributes are still exported as strings.
Note: queries that match these attributes as strings need updating.
Attributes.prepare() exported every telemetry attribute with a string key, so numeric attributes reached OpenTelemetry as strings. That breaks numeric queries such as status_code >= 400 on typed backends.
How is it being solved?
The three attributes documented as int in docs/OpenTelemetry.md (http.response.status_code, http.request.resend_count, fga-client.request.batch_check_size) are now exported with AttributeKey.longKey(), matching the Python SDK. A value that doesn't parse as an integer is omitted, so a metric never carries a string under a numeric attribute name.
What changes are made to solve it?
Attributes.java gets a set of numeric attributes and parses them to long; all other attributes stay strings. AttributesTest.java adds tests for long export, string export for the rest, and omission of unparseable values.
Notes
Documentation : The repo's docs/OpenTelemetry.md already says these are integers, so no doc change is needed.

Walkthrough
The telemetry exporter now emits batch-check size, HTTP resend count, and HTTP status code as long attributes when their values parse successfully. Tests cover numeric values, nonnumeric values, and null or empty values.

Attributes.prepare parses batch-check size, HTTP resend count, and HTTP status code as longs. It omits values that cannot be parsed and continues to export other nonblank attributes as strings. Tests cover both output types and omitted values.
Custom telemetry attributes may retain string values where numeric values are expected. This is a bounded issue to address or accept before merging.

Explanation
The title "fix(telemetry): export numeric attributes as long values" matches the main change. Attributes.prepare() now exports http.response.status_code, http.request.resend_count, and fga-client.request.batch_check_size as long values. Unparseable values are omitted, and other attributes stay strings. The title is specific and concise, and it follows the conventional commit format.
Full details: Linked Issues check
Explanation
Issue #291 requires http.response.status_code and http.request.resend_count to export as numeric OTel values by parsing the string value to long, with the internal Map<Attribute, String> unchanged. At the reviewed head, Attributes.prepare() adds a private LONG_ATTRIBUTES set containing HTTP_RESPONSE_STATUS_CODE and HTTP_REQUEST_RESEND_COUNT. For these attributes it calls builder.put(AttributeKey.longKey(...), Long.parseLong(attrVal.trim())). The internal map type is unchanged. Automated tests in AttributesTest.java cover long export of these attributes (shouldPrepareNumericAttributesAsLongs, and the updated default-attributes test). Other attributes remain string-typed. The PR also converts fga-client.request.batch_check_size, which the issue does not name. This is additional coverage, not a missing requirement. No non-coding requirements apply to this issue.
Full details: Out of Scope Changes check
Explanation
The changes in Attributes.java and AttributesTest.java implement the numeric-export objective of #291. fga-client.request.batch_check_size is listed as int in docs/OpenTelemetry.md at the reviewed head, so exporting it as long follows the documented type. The issue title covers mis-typed telemetry attributes generally. Omitting values that do not parse as integers is a design choice that the issue does not forbid. The Set import and the isNullOrWhitespace checks are part of the same change. No unrelated changes were found in the inspected diffs. The null input case in the new test depends on the existing isNullOrWhitespace helper, which was not inspected. This does not affect the scope verdict.
Full details: Docstring Coverage
Explanation
Docstring coverage is 50.00% which is insufficient. The required threshold is 80.00%. Docstring coverage is scoped to functions touched by this diff with cyclomatic complexity of at least 2. Documentation-only edits and deletions within surviving functions are included; unchanged diff context and fully deleted functions are excluded. Analyzed 2 functions across 2 files.
Resolution
Write docstrings for the functions missing them to satisfy the coverage threshold.

Select numeric attributes by name, not object identity.
If a caller uses new Attribute("http.response.status_code") in both the configuration and input map, containsKey succeeds but LONG_ATTRIBUTES.contains(attr) fails. prepare then exports the status code as a string, contrary to its documented type. Attribute does not define value-based equality. Compare the attribute names, or give Attribute value-based equality. (raw.githubusercontent.com)

Fixes #291
Description
What problem is being solved?
