Every uv minor so far (0.10 through 0.13) shipped without a breaking change to the uv_build configuration, and uv itself builds with its bundled backend regardless of this bound. The bound only stops other frontends such as python -m build and distro packagers, who then need a new release before they can build. Astral still advises the bound at the next minor, so CI building with the current uv on every run is the guard instead.

Thank you for the update :) That's the second time an Arch packager has had to lift this bound for me, so I've widened it to I'm working on a new release, should be out soon :) |
