Key pair authentication while publishing to Cloud from onprem using Tableau SDK #1602
Is there way to convert the connection in the workbook from user name /password (from: onprem) to key pair authentication (to: cloud) using the Tableau SDK?

Update on this: as of REST API v3.27, converting an existing connection to Snowflake keypair auth is supported. The pattern is:
Save the private key under Site Settings -> Saved Credentials for Data Sources on your Tableau Cloud site.
Update the connection with authenticationType="auth-keypair" and the keypair username.
TSC already has all the pieces — see PR #1844 which adds a runnable sample, and PR #1845 which adds a short how-to to the docs.
Closing since the answer is now "yes, here's how." If you hit issues with the specific conversion path (OAuth -> keypair has an open server bug), please open a new issue.

I am pretty sure the answer is no here, but it seems like this might be something the content migration SDK is capable of?
