Patchmill is an agent-driven software factory for turning product work into reviewed, landed changes without hiding the engineering judgment between idea and production.
It connects an issue host, repository policy, git worktrees, and configurable agent skills so teams can triage issues, plan work, implement in isolation, review results, collect evidence, and land changes with clear handoffs.

Patchmill's roadmap moves from safe, unattended local operation to broader work sources, a unified control plane, and cloud-operated agents running in isolated sandboxes. The phases describe product direction rather than date or version commitments.

npm install -g patchmillOr run one command with npx:
npx patchmill --helppatchmill init
patchmill auth
patchmill doctor
patchmill triage --dry-run
patchmill triage
patchmill run-onceFor independent issues, run patchmill run-once --issue N in separate terminals
from the same local clone. Automatic selection remains serial. Each explicit
process owns only its issue and phase workspaces.
Implementation always creates a PR. An open PR does not complete the Issue run. After the PR merges, rerun the same explicit command to finish saved checkpoints. See the operator contract for resource responsibilities, safe resume, and unsupported concurrency.

Patchmill works especially well with the Superpowers skills pack. Patchmill provides the factory floor; Superpowers provides much of the planning, implementation, debugging, review, and workflow discipline that moves work through it.
The recommended local pack adds conditional frontend guidance. For meaningful browser-visible changes, planning includes a linked, offline full-page HTML mockup. Implementation completes normal code review and validation, then runs fresh independent frontend review. The parent repairs valid findings and refreshes review and evidence after frontend changes.
Backend, documentation, and non-material copy work skip these additions. Pack
2026.10.2 uses pinned local guidance and needs no configuration change. Custom
and global workflows opt in through their own wrappers. See

Workflow artifacts.
