Summary by CodeRabbit

  • New Features

    • TLS configuration supports preferred elliptic curves for Argo CD components when the configured curves are supported.
  • Updates

    • The default Argo CD image version is now v3.6.0-rc3.
    • Image Updater deployments omit unsupported curve preferences while retaining other configured TLS settings.
  • Bug Fixes

    • TLS configuration errors are now surfaced consistently across the Argo CD server, repository server, and Image Updater components.

The default Argo CD image digest changes to v3.6.0-rc3. TLS argument construction now maps configured curve preferences and returns errors. Deployment reconcilers pass component names and handle those results.

🟡 Minor · Add the missing SecP256r1MLKEM768 curve mapping. · tls.go:197-209

argocd-operator/controllers/argoutil/tls.go:197-209
🎯 Functional Correctness | 🟡 Minor | ⚡ Quick win

Add the missing SecP256r1MLKEM768 curve mapping.

When a server or repo-server TLS profile contains only TLSGroupSecP256r1MLKEM768, the shared converter returns an error. In a mixed profile, it omits this curve from --tlscurvepreferences. Argo CD v3.6.0-rc3 accepts SecP256r1MLKEM768, so this prevents the operator from applying a supported curve preference.

🟡 Minor · Map all OpenShift TLS groups supported by Argo CD. · deployment.go:1366-1371

argocd-operator/controllers/argocd/deployment.go:1366-1371
🎯 Functional Correctness | 🟡 Minor | ⚡ Quick win

Map all OpenShift TLS groups supported by Argo CD.

The mapper omits TLSGroupSecP256r1MLKEM768 and TLSGroupSecP384r1MLKEM1024, although OpenShift permits both groups and Argo CD v3.6.0-rc3 accepts both names. A profile containing only either group returns an error and blocks server or repo-server reconciliation. A mixed profile silently drops the valid hybrid preference.
