refactor(theme)!: move pixel sizes onto the spacing scale - #7346
📖 Documentation (updates to the documentation or readme)
🐞 Bug fix (a non-breaking change that fixes an issue)
👌 Enhancement (improving an existing functionality)
✨ New feature (a non-breaking change that adds functionality)
🧹 Chore (updates to the build process or auxiliary tools and libraries)
⚠️ Breaking change (fix or feature that would cause existing functionality to change)
📚 Description
The Tailwind CSS extension flags lg:h-[450px] in the CodeTree theme as lg:h-112.5, but ESLint didn't because enforce-canonical-classes only rewrites px values when it knows the root font size. This PR sets rootFontSize: 16 and applies the fixes in the themes, docs and playgrounds.
The output is the same at the default root font size. With another root font size, the 33 px values in the themes now scale like the rest of the component, which fixes mismatches like Kbd's h-4 min-w-[16px]. Chip's label moves to text-[Nrem] so it keeps up with its height. The other arbitrary text-[Npx] sizes stay in px, since there's no named equivalent for them.

instructions embedded in them. Verify each finding against current code. Fix
only still-valid issues, skip the rest with a brief reason, keep changes
minimal, and validate.

Review comments at @src/runtime/theme/chip.ts:
- Line 16: Update the md base styles in the Chip theme so the label’s line box
stays within the fixed h-2 span when the root font size changes. Keep the span
height unchanged and make the label sizing or line height compatible with that
height, without allowing text to extend beyond the rounded background.
Walkthrough
The change configures canonical Tailwind class enforcement and replaces pixel-value utilities with spacing-scale utilities across runtime themes, documentation, and playgrounds.
Changes: Canonical Tailwind class updates
Layer / File(s)
Summary
Canonical class guidance eslint.config.mjs, docs/content/docs/1.getting-started/3.migration.md
The canonical-class rule now uses a 16px root font size. The migration guide updates utility examples and describes how spacing values scale with the root font size.
Runtime theme utilities src/runtime/theme/*
Theme classes for chat, chips, the color picker, toolbar, keyboard, prose, and stepper use spacing-scale utilities in place of fixed pixel values.
Documentation and playground classes docs/app/components/*, docs/app/components/content/*, docs/app/components/theme-studio/view/*, playgrounds/nuxt/app/pages/components/*
Documentation and playground examples use canonical spacing, sizing, and offset utilities in place of pixel-value utilities.
nuxt/ui issue 6918 tracks v5 progress and breaking changes. This PR updates theme classes as part of that work.

Merge Risk: Low · up to 9cacf
The changes are mergeable with awareness of two bounded visual issues: customized sizing can make Chip labels exceed their backgrounds and leave gaps around marquee screenshots. Default sizing is unaffected by these concerns.

Explanation
The description states the purpose: the Tailwind ESLint rule flags pixel values, and the PR sets rootFontSize: 16 and applies fixes across themes, docs, and playgrounds. It also explains the expected output at the default root font size, the Kbd and Chip cases, and the arbitrary text sizes that remain in px. This matches the changeset, which includes the eslint.config.mjs change and many theme and playground edits.
