docs(theme): cover the control scale and the new layout variables in the studio - #7345
📖 Documentation (updates to the documentation or readme)
🐞 Bug fix (a non-breaking change that fixes an issue)
👌 Enhancement (improving an existing functionality)
✨ New feature (a non-breaking change that adds functionality)
🧹 Chore (updates to the build process or auxiliary tools and libraries)
⚠️ Breaking change (fix or feature that would cause existing functionality to change)
📚 Description
The theme studio didn't reach anything base.css gained with #7340 and #7280, so the control scale and the layout variables had to be written by hand in main.css. This PR adds what the preview can show:
A Variables control in the toolbar, which takes over the radius select as a slider. Controls: a density (compact, default, comfortable) that moves the padding and gap of every size by 2px, and --ui-control-text-step. Page: --ui-gutter, --ui-container-width and --ui-header-height. States: --ui-focus-width and --ui-disabled-opacity.
The text-contrast shade of each color, for dark text on a light solid like amber.
--ui-overlay-border-default, the ring and separators of menus, popovers and modals, in Surfaces.
The six chart series in Colors, each an alias or a palette.
The shuffle rolls all of them, rarely and on short lists, except the contrast text, which a random pick would make unreadable. Only values that differ from the library are written. An unlayered :root outranks the library's sm gutter rule, so a gutter under --spacing(4) goes on :root alone and any other one from sm:
:root{--ui-control-px-md:--spacing(2);/* ... */--ui-header-height:3.5rem;@variant sm {--ui-gutter:--spacing(8);}}
The new values live in two doc fields, layout and charts, written by one builder in engine/extras.ts for the live style tag, the export and the FOUC script, which inlines its source. The other token defaults keep their copies, for a later merge: THEME_DEFAULTS and TOKEN_SHADE_TARGETS in engine/types.ts (which tokens.ts derives from), and the radius, font size and font clamps restated in storage.ts, applyThemeSettings and the FOUC script.
The sanitizer now accepts a keyword or variable mixed with transparent, which also stops it from dropping Mono's translucent dark borders, which never applied. The opacity roles (--ui-bg-tint, --ui-outline-focus, the per-color ones), the neutral roles, the cell by cell scale editor and the other overlay tokens were tried and left out: they don't show in the preview, or their recipe already does the right thing, and main.css still reaches them.

instructions embedded in them. Verify each finding against current code. Fix
only still-valid issues, skip the rest with a brief reason, keep changes
minimal, and validate.

Walkthrough
Theme Studio adds layout controls for density, gutter, focus width, and disabled opacity. Theme documents and stored theme state now support layout settings, which are normalized and emitted as CSS.

Summary
Layout model and theme document handling docs/app/utils/theme/engine/types.ts, docs/app/utils/theme/engine/sections.ts, docs/app/utils/theme/engine/serialize.ts
Theme documents support normalized layout values and generated CSS variables. Spacing and states become theme sections for comparison and merging.
Theme state, storage, and CSS application docs/app/composables/useTheme.ts, docs/app/utils/theme/storage.ts, docs/app/plugins/theme.ts
Theme state and stored themes include layout settings. The theme plugin emits CSS from stored layout values before hydration.

The toolbar adds layout controls and marks the spacing and states sections as layout changes. Spacing icons are added to the supported icon packs.

resetTheme() clears the cssVariables and customColors tags synchronously. It does not clear THEME_TAG_IDS.extras. Old layout, mix, and chart CSS stays in the DOM until unhead patches the tag in a later timer task, so a paint between those tasks can still show it.

Update resetTheme() so its synchronous immediate-reset path also clears the DOM
element identified by THEME_TAG_IDS.extras, alongside the existing cssVariables
and customColors tags.

The studio radius field writes --ui-radius through radiusStyle, but the set does not list it. The set's documented rule says studio-written variables never enter the token channel. Without this entry, sanitizeCSSVariables keeps a --ui-radius token override and writes it into the .light and .dark blocks.

Review comment at @docs/app/utils/theme/engine/extras.ts around lines 119 - 123:
Add --ui-radius to EXTRAS_VARIABLES so sanitizeCSSVariables excludes the
studio-written radius variable from the token channel. Preserve the existing
entries and ordering in the set.
