Trying to debug springboot app backend for typescript / react frontend with hot code replace. It was working before. Just suddenly stopped.
The debugger is sucessfully attached to the process and breakpoints / logpoint shown as bound and hot code replace is working just fine
but breakpoints just not hit.
Recently I upgraded project to Java 25, but maybe this is not the root cause, any other ideas ?
-agentlib:jdwp=transport=dt_socket,server=y,suspend=n,address=*:5005 is present.
As hot code replace is working, I'm assuimg that there's no code mismatch, breakpoints are aligned with code.
Hi Slava G. (@slavag), I'm an AI Support assistant here to help with your issue. While the team reviews your request, I wanted to provide some possible tips and documentation that might help you in the meantime.
Suggested Steps
Ensure the JVM is started in debug-suspend mode so breakpoints are set before code runs:
Add -agentlib:jdwp=transport=dt_socket,server=y,suspend=y,address=*:5005 to your Spring Boot launch args.
The team will respond to your issue shortly. I hope these suggestions are helpful in the meantime. If this comment helped you, please give it a 👍. If the suggestion was not helpful or incorrect, please give it a 👎. Your feedback helps us improve!
