MOVE between modules: rewrite enumeration, constant and XPath references, and map nanoflow grants #1687

Open

Description

@GlennCorvers

What happens

MOVE of entities, microflows and pages between modules (a module split) rewrites most references but not all:

  • Rewritten: references to moved entities, pages and microflows (data sources, show page, home page, calls, associations).
  • Not rewritten: enumerations and constants used inside microflows (CE1613 in the flows), and XPath prefixes in entity access rules (Old.Assoc/Old.Entity).
  • Entity access rules keep their old module roles.
  • Microflow and page grants are mapped to same-named roles of the target module (only if those roles exist). Nanoflow grants are not mapped (CE0148).

Expected

MOVE rewrites enumeration and constant references and XPath prefixes, and maps nanoflow grants the way it maps microflow grants. Ideally it also warns about entity access rules that keep roles of the old module.

Reproduction

  1. A module with an enumeration, a constant, entities used in an access-rule XPath, a microflow using the enumeration and constant, and a nanoflow with grant execute.
  2. move entity|microflow ... to Target for the entities and flows, with the same-named module roles created in Target.
  3. mx check: CE1613 in the flows, CE0148 on the nanoflow; describe of the access rule shows the old prefix.

Related: #1601 (closed, check after MOVE in the same script).

Environment

mxcli 0.28.0, Studio Pro 11.12.4, Windows 11. Found by the AppGen tooling (Ciphix) on a test app.
