The robot only took commands. A button on the Extension port could not drive host-side automation until the device could push events out. This PR adds that outbound path, a configurable push-button extension (edges + gestures + optional local SFX), CLI watch, and the PCB Extension port work that backs it.
AI-generated preview
Summary
Outbound event hub — Producers publish one JSON envelope (v, type, source, ms). Hub broadcasts on ws://<host>:81/events while HTTP is up, and sends the same JSON as a serial Evt frame. REST stays inbound. Full CDC buffer drops the serial copy and does not block the robot. Access token (when set) gates the WebSocket via token query; rotating the token disconnects subscribers.
Push-button extension (off by default) — Extensions page toggles push_button / push_button_pin via POST /settings (no reboot). Pin allowlist GP6 / GP7 / GP20 / GP21 on the Extension port (not J4 in UI/docs). Active-low, internal pull-up. Publishes button.down / button.up, plus gestures button.click (350 ms after short release), button.double_click, button.long_click (800 ms hold). Edge queue (depth 8) retains clicks during POST /play. Pin-claim check rejects two enabled extensions on the same GPIO.
Per-event sounds — Settings push_button_sound_{down,up,click,double_click,long_click} = none | bell | click (default all none). On publish, plays /bell.wav or /click.wav when the speaker is free; busy speaker skips SFX, event still goes out. Extensions Events table maps each emitted event to a sound.
tiny-engineer watch — http (default) reads the WebSocket; serial prints Evt frames and does not need a robot URL.
Hardware — Extension port on the main control board (silkscreen, BOM, expected nets, docs/pinout).
3D button model — Prepare a printable Extension-port momentary button (CAD + exported 3mf under stock 3d_models/ or a named mods/<name>/; CERN-OHL-S).
Assembly instructions — Document how to print, fit, and wire the button on the Extension port (steps + visuals in docs/3d/assembly.md or a linked extension/mod guide).
Test plan
Fresh boot / factory reset: push_button: false, all five push_button_sound_* = none; contact publishes nothing
Extensions: enable without reboot; Config has no push-button control; draft off hides pin + Events table
Pin: save GP7 while off persists; invalid pin → 400; change pin while on rebinds without reboot
Press/release: WS + serial get button.down then button.up (sourcepush-button)
Short press → delayed button.click; double → button.double_click only; hold ≥800 ms → button.long_click then button.up
Enable while held: no event until next press; disable while held: no synthetic up
Click during POST /play: both edges arrive in order after loop can publish (if still in queue)
Serial users may see narrow failures during daemon shutdown or port switching, while documentation misses new endpoints and settings. These are bounded issues, so the change is low risk with follow-up recommended.

* Updated API documentation to clarify that setting or rotating a non-empty access token will disconnect current WebSocket subscribers, requiring them to reconnect with the new token.
* Implemented a new function to disconnect all WebSocket clients upon access token rotation.
* Modified settings handler to invoke the disconnection function when the access token is changed.
Percent-decode the token query value in tokenOk before comparing it.
The CLI builds the watch URL with ws.searchParams.set("token", token). This encodes reserved characters in the token. For example, % becomes %25, & becomes %26, + becomes %2B, and = becomes %3D. tokenOk compares the raw query bytes with the configured token and does not decode them. A configured token that contains any of these characters therefore never matches. The authenticated /events connection is then disconnected.
Decoding the token value in tokenOk makes the firmware match the encoded URL. The CLI encoding stays unchanged.
Suggested fix
Percent-decode the value in tokenOk before the memcmp. Decode into a fixed buffer sized to the 64-character token limit, and reject values that exceed it.

- Added a new `tiny-engineer daemon` command to manage serial connections, allowing multiple CLI commands to share a single serial port.
- Updated documentation in `docs/integration.md` and `docs/serial.md` to reflect the new daemon functionality and its lifecycle.
- Implemented IPC for the daemon using a local socket, ensuring that commands like `anim`, `play`, and `monitor` communicate through the daemon instead of opening their own serial connections.
- Enhanced the pre-upload process to park servos and manage port access during firmware uploads.
- Introduced new specifications for the daemon's behavior and requirements, ensuring compatibility with existing commands and transport configurations.

Encode the token query value with encodeURIComponent.
ws.searchParams.set("token", token) serializes a space as +. The firmware leaves + unchanged when it decodes the query (percentDecodeToken in src/events/hub.cpp). settingsValidateAccessToken allows interior spaces, so a token such as two words is sent as two+words. The device then compares two+words with two words. The handshake fails for that token. Percent-encoding sends %20, which the firmware decodes to a space. A literal + is already sent as %2B.
🐛 Proposed fix
if (token) {
- ws.searchParams.set("token", token);+ ws.search = `?token=${encodeURIComponent(token)}`;
}
Based on learnings, form-decoding APIs and URLSearchParams treat + as a space, which can silently corrupt token values and cause authentication mismatches.

Add the push-button sound fields to the GET /settings field list.
This row lists push_button and push_button_pin. It omits the five push_button_sound_* fields that GET /settings now returns. Hardware testers who use this table will not see them. Add the sound fields so the table matches docs/api.md.
As per coding guidelines, docs/hardware/testing.md needs "settings rows in the route table if present" updated with the same change.

Keep the close callback bound to its session.
During shutdown, the server continues handling requests until link.close() completes. A request can assign a replacement session while the old serial port is closing. The old client's close callback then calls markDown() against the shared state and can clear that replacement session.
