PhysicalFilesWatcherTests.CreateFileChangeToken_FiresOnlyWhenFileIsCreated_WithMultipleMissingDirectories remains running until Helix terminates the work item on Windows x86 targeting net481.
Reproduction Steps
Observed in runtime build 1645157, testing PR #136221 at e3bd647a859e. Not reproduced locally.
The CI runner invoked:
xunit.console.exe Microsoft.Extensions.FileProviders.Physical.Tests.dll -xml testResults.xml -nologo -nocolor -notrait category=IgnoreForCI -notrait category=OuterLoop -notrait category=failing
Expected behavior
The test completes and the work item exits normally.
Actual behavior
The runner repeatedly reports the same test as long-running, including after 12 minutes. Helix terminates the work item with exit code -3; its reported duration is 15 minutes 36 seconds. See Error Details below.
Regression?
Unknown.
Known Workarounds
None established. CI was not retried.
Configuration
Target framework net481, Release, x86, Windows 10 build 19045. Helix queue: windows.10.amd64.client.open.rt. The console does not identify which useActivePolling theory row is running.
Other information
The reporting PR does not modify this test, the watcher implementation, or the change-token and timer code. The test helper already uses a 30-second timeout, so the console alone does not establish where execution is blocked. No stack trace or dump is available in the work item's uploaded-file inventory.
