I am a PHP, Go and TypeScript developer based in Minneapolis.
I work across the entire stack, but I’m happiest in the backend. Moving data, pushing bytes around, making things fast.
I ❤️ tiny reusable parts with single responsibilities and no side effects. I keep code simple, clear, and easy for anyone to read.
I’ve spent fifteen years in EdTech keeping old systems running and new ones from catching fire. Before that I built industrial and B2B tools where things had to work because people depended on them.
I’ve been continuing to build out mddoc, my PHP-to-Markdown documentation generator. Most recently, I’ve been working on recognizing conventional .dist.xml configuration files, so projects can keep distributable example configuration alongside their local setup without extra ceremony.
I also shipped a pair of releases that make generated API documentation more complete and accurate: nested declarations are now included rather than silently skipped, and PHP’s true, false, and null literals render correctly in generated signatures instead of looking like namespaced identifiers.
I’ve also been experimenting with an opt-in table of contents for recursive documentation. It adds stable anchors and links for documented classes, interfaces, methods, and their signatures, making larger generated reference pages much easier to scan and navigate.
