The README now starts with a bounded California-origin wine query and retrieves a real ID returned by search. It distinguishes returned-page records from totals, explains approval/product and barcode limits, and links the customer data workflow. Contact and metadata corrections use help@colacloud.us where applicable.
Prepares patch release 0.4.5 without API behavior changes. Python/CLI runtime version strings are aligned with distribution metadata; JavaScript package/lock metadata are aligned. Publication remains a separate reviewed step.
Validation: 120 unit tests; mypy; Ruff lint and formatting; wheel/sdist build. The revised quickstart passed against the production API with the existing authorized smoke identity: one result in the August 2026 scope followed by its detail. No credentials or API response data are committed.
Built wheel and source archive inspected: expected files only, exact updated README in metadata, correct version and author metadata. A clean temporary wheel install reports matching runtime/distribution versions.
