This guide fills the gap in our deployment guides that is concerned with setting up your BTP global account before deployment with
cds upis possible (subaccount creation, HANA Cloud creation + mapping, entitlements, etc.).With
cds add terraform(coming incds-dk10.3.0) we ship an opinionated default infrastructure setup descriptor that fits with our CI/CD guide, preparing Sandbox, Staging, and Production subaccounts and their own HANA Cloud databases.I was able to do the entire setup from a new global account to a deployed app in CF, to having a complete CI/CD setup with Staging + Production deployments in GitHub actions. All using only these CAPire deployment guides:
Team Onboarding → Deploy to CF → Set Up CI/CD
The only interaction with the BTP UI in this flow is to assign Global Account Administrator rights.
It also fits nicely with our Get Started guide by completing the tool installation using
brewandwinget.
