Issues

  • My PR addresses the following Helix issues and references them in the PR description:

Fixes #3198

Description

  • Here are some details about my PR, including screenshots of any UI changes:

testCurrentStateMetrics never had @Test, so TestNG never ran it. This adds the annotation and unregisters the monitor in a finally block, so a failure cannot leak its MBean into the next test in the class.

Tests

  • The following tests are written for this issue:

TestRoutingTableProviderMonitor.testCurrentStateMetrics (now runs; fails if recordStatePropagationLatency stops updating the gauge).

  • The following is the result of the "mvn test" command on the appropriate module:

mvn -pl helix-core test -Dtest=TestRoutingTableProviderMonitor: Tests run: 3, Failures: 0

testCurrentStateMetrics was added in c701a94 together with the
CURRENTSTATES StatePropagationLatencyGauge but never had @test, so
TestNG never ran it. Add the annotation, and unregister the monitor in
a finally block so a failure cannot leak its MBean into the next test.
