Calls startup experiments need the exact original project dependencies and generated assets before the machine runs. This adds an offline acquisition CLI that clones the ledger revisions, performs locked installations with dependency scripts disabled, optionally runs explicitly named original root or workspace build scripts, and freezes the resulting bytes and in-root symlink identities.
Each project keeps a durable receipt, command outcomes and hashed logs; failed installations remain in the report. Original tracked source or lockfile changes fail acquisition. Package managers are pinned from the original declaration, an exact engine version, an explicit override, or the documented default. This includes safe extraction of the official pinned Bun platform binary and the correct modern Yarn
--mode=skip-buildoption.A frozen installation deliberately leaves
acquisitionComplete=false. Startup graph resolution and machine entry are separate checks; the full installation snapshot must not become a frontend root list. No acquisition runs inside timed measurement.Validation: 7 focused Python tests passed, including original workspace recipe/path guards. Original leaf builds for vest-utils, @felte/common and @sapphire/utilities completed in separate acquisition attempts without changing tracked sources or lockfiles. The unchanged 200-class ledger was acquired into new roots: 189 classes have frozen installations after manager retries; the remaining failures are preserved (registry quarantine, expired upstream certificate, or a package manager changing the original lock). This is installation evidence, not 189 successful machine starts. Broad suites are left to CI. Local commit hook was bypassed because it calls the removed
checkLicensetask; explicit focused checks ran first.
