Stacked on #1264. When #1264 merges, GitHub retargets this PR to main.

#1264's route already builds a non-web backend through the factory, but nothing tested that path. This adds the test.

  • tests/test_variant_router_surfaces.py: a variant set recorded on each of windows, macos, linux, rdp and citrix is routed with route SET --config deploy.yaml. The backend factory is faked and returns a dark frame. The test checks:
    • the dark variant is chosen;
    • the backend built is the configured kind;
    • it is closed afterwards;
    • no browser is opened.
  • A section the factory can't build halts with first_screen_unavailable.

No product code changes. 6 passed locally.

Part of the backend parity work (#1282).

For a variant set recorded on windows, macos, linux, rdp or citrix, route
--config builds that surface's backend and reads one frame from it; it never
opens a browser. A section that can't be built halts first_screen_unavailable.
