Summary

Refactors and improves the existing GitHub Actions CI workflow skeleton (.github/workflows/tests.yml) for the GlobeSend Transfer QA Automation framework. This update enhances artifact organization, debugging reliability, and execution safety.

Improvements & Enhancements Over Previous Skeleton

  • Granular Artifact Separation: Split test dashboard reports (reports/) and failure debugging payloads (test-results/ traces/screenshots) into dedicated, independently named artifacts with a clean 30-day retention policy.
  • Conditional Failure Artifacts: Configured failure traces and screenshots to upload only when tests fail (if: failure()), optimizing storage usage while ensuring full diagnostic visibility during regressions.
  • Environment Isolation & Stability: Explicitly passed standard CI environment flags (CI: "true") and integrated Playwright's system dependency installation (--with-deps) to guarantee seamless headless execution on Linux runners.
  • Automated Test Summaries: Integrated structured test summaries directly into GitHub Actions step outputs to provide immediate feedback at a glance.

Verification

  • Validated locally using act (GitHub Actions runner simulator) across all 13 test cases, ensuring 100% pass rate and correct artifact staging.
