Change

Model-assisted reviews repeatedly had to rediscover model-to-CLI mappings and access requirements. Document the selected model IDs, executable routes, and tested CLI versions in MODELS.md, with copyable Codex/Claude commands and the authenticated Daybreak Blue catalog/probe procedure.

Clarify shared evidence packets versus per-slot instructions, sequential builds versus parallel independent reviews, proposal-only reviews, exit/result/identity checks, and how to report missing or unexpected models. Keep review, merge, and release controls intact; routine model-mapping web research is replaced with local checks and targeted troubleshooting.

Compatibility and validation

Documentation only: no encoder, API, output, dependency, or release changes. Related to the review workflow used for #243; this does not close that issue.

  • Checked commands against Codex CLI 0.163.0 and Claude Code 2.1.304; completed actual model reviews and the explicit Blue probe. Exercised the documented packet-only Claude route and Codex stdin route.
  • Shell blocks pass bash -n; JSON-RPC examples parse; local links resolve; official troubleshooting links were opened; git diff --check passes.
  • Final Sonnet documentation review: PASS, with no operational blockers. AI assistance is disclosed; this is not independent maintainer approval.
  • Word count: 1,777 to 2,925. Code-block content lines: 11 to 50. The added length supplies runnable commands and evidence rules.
  • No additional local runtime suite for this prose-only change. Required final-commit CI/security gates must pass before merge.

Maintainer requested this merge. If independent human approval is absent, use only the existing configured PR-only maintainer review exception after every required check passes; do not change any ruleset or bypass CI.

  • I kept the change scoped and preserved relevant notices.
  • I checked documentation/changelog and tests for any behavior change (none).
  • This PR contains no credentials or private vulnerability evidence.
