LinearMouse Plus

My fork of LinearMouse, the mouse and trackpad utility for Mac,
with extra productivity features: clipboard history, key remapping and better window and Dock behaviour.

macOS MIT License Upstream

Everything LinearMouse does (pointer and scrolling settings, button remapping, per-device profiles…) still works. These features are new, and they live in two new pages in the settings, Features and Key Mappings:

Feature What it does
📋 Clipboard history Keeps the text you copy with Cmd+C in memory and clears it after a time you choose. Press Cmd+V to pick from a quick overlay
⌨️ Key mappings Remap any key combination to another, using a shortcut recorder. For example Fn+C → Cmd+C, or PrintScreen → Cmd+Shift+4
🔁 Control as Command Ctrl+Z / C / V work like Cmd+Z / C / V everywhere, handy if you also use Windows or Linux
🪟 Double-click in the Dock Clicking the icon of an app that is already active opens a new window (Cmd+N)
❌ Quit on close Closing an app's last window with the red button quits the app, instead of leaving it in the Dock
🌙 Display sleep Shows the display sleep times (on battery and on power) in the menu bar, with a shortcut to System Settings

The fork is based on LinearMouse as of e18cff7 (March 2026). All my changes are in one commit on top of it: compare with upstream.

Building

Same as LinearMouse (see the contributing guide):

brew install npm swiftlint swiftformat
npm install
make configure # generates Signing.xcconfig and Version.xcconfig
open LinearMouse.xcodeproj

Pick your team for code signing and run the LinearMouse scheme. Key mappings, clipboard history and the Dock and window features need the Accessibility permission, just like the rest of LinearMouse.
