Part of a 10-PR series contributing the agent-guardrail skill stack (prove-it-works, blast-radius, fix-root-causes, subtract-before-you-add, correct, interrogate, show-me-your-work, create-verification-skill, maintain-verification-skill, property-based-testing). Each PR is independent, adds exactly one single-skill plugin, and can be reviewed and merged in any order; adjacent additions to marketplace.json / README.md may show trivial conflicts with sibling PRs.

What

Adds the prove-it-works plugin: a behavioral guardrail that requires every task output to be verified against the real artifact (run the feature, read the actual value, inspect the diff) before declaring done — never proxies, self-reports, or "it compiles." Encourages scripting the check so a reviewer can re-run the proof.

Why

The marketplace ships code-review, security, and runtime-verification guardrails (droid-control's /verify), but nothing covering behavioral verification discipline for the agent itself. This stack was built and battle-tested in a hackathon repo's quality gates; we are contributing it back.

Provenance and license

Adapted from the pstack skills by Lauren Tan (cursor/plugins, MIT License, commit c742dd6), with Cursor-specific machinery removed (arena/unslop routing, model-role assignment, .cursor/ paths) and Droid conventions applied. Made model-invocable (the upstream version was a user-invoked slash command) so Droid applies it proactively.

Checklist

  • Plugin under plugins/prove-it-works/ with .factory-plugin/plugin.json
  • Skill directory symlinked into skills/ (per the check-skills CI)
  • .factory-plugin/marketplace.json entry added
  • README "Available Plugins" section added
  • No name collision with existing marketplace skills or Droid built-in skills
