Summary
Prepare v0.1.0-alpha.5 so the packaged app shows the changes since alpha 4 in What's new. Promote the accumulated changelog with illustrated highlights for named folders, Help guides, and shortcut search; align application and Cargo versions with WiX's numeric
0.1.0.5version; and point the desktop release-note scenarios at the new notes.Related Issue

Verification
pnpm checkpassed formatting, types, lint, the production frontend build, coverage, and backend checks, including release-note parsing and illustration bundling.pnpm exec tsc -p e2e/desktop/tsconfig.json --noEmitpassed for the desktop scenarios updated through their shared release-note fixture.Not verified: desktop E2E execution, left to CI; installer builds, left to the tagged Release workflow; and NSIS/MSI install, upgrade from alpha 4, uninstall, and Open with lifecycle checks.
Notes
The alpha 5 changelog is dated 2026-10-19 and should match the tagging date.
