To better understand how you’ve been affected by Google’s recent sideloading restrictions (article here: https://appdevforall.org/googles-new-rules-could-lock-out-offline-developers/), we’d like to hear about your experience installing CoGo and/or K2Go, including any issues related to:
- The 24-hour waiting period
- Installation procedures
- Downloading additional content (K2Go)
- Anything you’d like to add or talk about
Please provide as much detail as possible, especially if you’ve encountered problems.
Also, if you have the advanced flow ability to install APKs outside the Play Store, we'd really appreciate it if you would try the following:
Disable the ability to install apps from unknown sources, then download K2Go from our site (not from the Play Store), make sure your phone is offline, and start the process to install the app. When it refuses to install without a waiting period, does it also remove the APK?
Try the same with CoGo, though there is no Play Store option.
We can hopefully use this information to streamline your experience going forward. Thank you!
